Personnel actions receive approval

Carbon County commissioners on Thursday approved a number of personnel actions:

• They accepted the resignation of Brett M. Hannon, Lansford, from his job as Seasonal Park Ranger 1, effective April 30;• Commissioners changed the employment status of Toby M. Butz, Lehighton, from County Caseworker II, Children & Youth Services, to Adult Probation Officer I, Adult Probation, effective May 20; and Gerard P. Healy, Albrightsville, from Seasonal Park Ranger I to Lead Seasonal Park Ranger I, effective May 24.• They hired Elizabeth J. Esrang, Nesquehoning, as an Aging Care Manager II, Area Agency on Aging, effective May 13.• Commissioners approved seminar/training requests from: the area Agency on Aging for Susan Ritchie to take Protective Services Basic Training, State College, at a cost of lodging, mileage, and meals; and for Hannah Breiner and Pamela Schleicher to take Protective Services Basic Enrichment, Lancaster, at a cost of mileage and meals; for Mary Ann Marzen to take Long Term Care Ombudsman Tier II Training, Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Lehigh County, at a cost of mileage and meals; Susan Zeigler to take Advanced/Supervisory Protective Services Enrichment, Center Valley, at a cost of mileage and meals; and Susan Ritchie to take Apprise New Coordinator training, Stroudsburg, at a cost of mileage and meals.Commissioners also acknowledged court seminar/training for Joseph Berke of Adult Probation for Jihad in America: Radicalizing Cleanskins, in Newtown, Bucks County, at a cost of meals; Mary Kunkel and Susan Bolton of Domestic Relations, to take Western DRAP 2013, at Meadville, Crawford County, at a cost of $50 conference fee, lodging, mileage and meals.
