State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence (DUI) arrests.

On Friday, May 3, about 9:58 p.m. troopers stopped Jesse Dale Krum, 20, of Lehighton, along Canal Street, at Bridge Street, Weissport, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI of a controlled substance. Charges were filed, troopers noted.

Also on Friday, about 11:04 p.m., troopers stopped Mark Joseph Miller, 49, of Albrightsville, along Forest Inn Road, at SR209, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, for a traffic violation.

During the stop troopers took Miller into custody for suspicion of DUI of a controlled substance. He was taken to Palmerton hospital for a blood test. The investigation into the incident is continuing, troopers said.

On Sunday, May 5, about 9:05 p.m. troopers stopped Lawrence E. Daricek Jr., 69, of Effort, along Merwinsburg Road, west of SR115, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for several vehicle code violations. At the stop he was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest.

On Monday, May 6, about 9:39 p.m. troopers stopped James J. McGeady Jr., 45, of Philadelphia, along SR209, north of SR534, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for several vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest.
