A Lehighton man was jailed on Friday, April 26, following an incident in the borough.

Police said about 1:16 p.m. they were called to the trestle area in the borough for a report of a fight in progress.

On scene officers learned that Larry Moser, 33, of 101 Lehigh St., was involved in a verbal altercation with Michael Taschler Jr. Moser allegedly lunged at Taschler with a knife, stabbing him in the shoulder area.

Moser was taken into custody and charged with aggravated and simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person. He was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning after failing to post $200,000 straight cash bail.

The police report did not indicate if Taschler needed medical attention. A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for May 1 at 4:40 p.m.
