A Chester County driver is facing charges of driving under the influence and drug possession.

State police at Lehighton said Saul Tapia Ortiz, 27, of Avondale, was stopped operating a 2000 Honda at 2:52 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, along Route 209, near Main Road in Franklin Township, for a traffic code violation.At the stop Ortiz agreed to a consent search of the vehicle which led to him being charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also found to be under the influence and was charged with DUI.
