It's time to say "Yes" to the dress at the Fifth Annual Dream Come True Prom and Wedding Dress Sale to be held on Wednesday, April 3 from 4-7 p.m. at Penn's Peak on Maury Road in Penn Forest Township.

Maybe he asked you to the prom. You really want to go, but things are financially tight at home and paying $200-$300 for a dress is just out of the question.

You've always dreamed of wearing a beautiful bridal gown down the aisle but the reception is costing an arm and a leg. How can you afford a wedding gown that costs $800-$1,000?

Or you're paying for your daughter's wedding and you really don't want to spend a lot on a mother's dress that you're only going to wear once.

Perhaps you're simply looking for a costume for a party or you're the costume director for your school or theater's upcoming musical or drama and need formal dresses for the cast.

If one of these scenarios fits you, then the Dream Come True Prom and Wedding Dress sale can be the right fit for you because every gently worn dress is only $10.

There will be some specially priced gowns, but even those will be well within almost any budget. Some of the dresses are brand new with price tags still on them.

Dressing rooms will be available to try on dresses.

"We have hundreds of beautiful long gowns, short gowns, formal wear and some casual dresses for every occasion and over 20 wedding gowns, in every size, including plus sizes," says Julianne Farina, marketing and public relations coordinator for Blue Ridge Communications and the event's coordinator.

There are gowns with sequins, some form fitting, some soft and flowing, some with halter tops, strapless, backless, in a variety of lengths, and in a kaleidoscope of colors and fabrics.

There will also be stunning jewelry and shoes available for just $5.

They will accept cash only for any purchases.

All proceeds are donated to the Dream Come True, Blue Ridge Chapter. This organization helps fulfill the dreams of children who are seriously, chronically or terminally ill.

Last year they raised over $2,000 and they hope to exceed that this year.

If you don't have the need for any gowns or dresses, but would like to help make a dream come true for some lucky child, consider making a monetary donation. You can send a check to Dream Come True, Blue Ridge Chapter, P.O. Box 344, Palmerton, PA 18071 or visit http://dreamcometrue-brc.org/ [1] to make an online donation with a credit card.

"This is really a cool event. It helps girls out who maybe couldn't otherwise afford to go to prom and it helps make a dream come true for some deserving kids in our area. I'd like to thank everyone who donated. We couldn't do it without you," says Farina, who can be reached at (610) 826-9299 if you have any questions.
