A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Stanley Kaminsky, 57, of Pocono Summit, was stopped while traveling along SR940, near Interstate 380, for several traffic law violations.

At the stop officers noted the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Kaminsky. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests.

He was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
