The victim of a fatal crash that occurred Tuesday evening in Schuylkill County has been identified.

Zachary C. Teter, 22, of New Ringgold, was the operator of a 2008 Volkswagen sedan that collided with a tractor-trailer along Summer Valley Road (SR895), in East Brunswick Township, about 9:05 p.m.

Teter was pronounced dead at the scene, in which both the Volkswagen and 2007 Freightliner with trailer collided. His name was withheld by investigators pending positive identification and notification of his family.

Teter was eastbound and crossed into the westbound lane where the car and tractor collided.

After impact the two vehicles burst into flames and were destroyed. The driver of the rig, Fidelix Iyoha, 59, of Grand Prairie, Tex., complained of arm pain but refused medical treatment.

State police at Frackville are investigating the crash. Full details of the crash and photos appeared on page one of Wednesday's TIMES NEWS.
