A Jim Thorpe man faces trial in Schuylkill County for alleged indecent assaults in Coaldale.
Michael Christopher Gallagher, 32, of 85 W. 13th St., had all charges filed against him held over for court following preliminary hearings before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, last week.
Gallagher was charged in connection with two separate victims. In the first case, the alleged assaults took place between May 1, 2009, and March 1, 2011, while the second case spanned the time period of Oct. 10, 2010, to March 1, 2011.
In both cases he was charged with two counts each of indecent assault without consent and indecent assault of a minor younger than 16, as well as single counts of indecent assault with forcible compulsion, indecent exposure and corruption of minors. The arresting officer was Coaldale Patrolman Martin Heckman.
He was released on $50,000 unsecured bail in each case.
Rachael A. Zellers, 37, of 435 S. Kennedy Dr., McAdoo, waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, disorderly conduct, and driving without required headlights. The charges stem from a Sept. 21, 2012, incident and were filed by McAdoo Patrolman William Curilla.
Zellers was released on her own recognizance.
Michael John Stetts, 56, of 56 Roosevelt Dr., Morea, waived a hearing on charges of DUI of alcohol, violating the restrictions on alcoholic beverages, and careless driving. The charges were filed by McAdoo Patrolman Steven Homanko following a Dec. 2, 2012, incident.
Stetts was released on his own recognizance.
Kevin Warren Warmkessel, 24, of 908 Park Ave., Port Carbon, waived a hearing on charges of manufacture/possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges were filed by Tamaqua Patrolman Matt Houser following a Nov. 25, 2012 incident.
Warmkessek was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
Jonathan Lee Potter, 26, of 234 E. Washington St., McAdoo, also elected to waive his preliminary hearing. He was charged with DUI of alcohol, careless driving, and driving without the required headlights by McAdoo Patrolman Steven Homanko. The charges stem from an Oct. 28, 2012, incident.
Potter was released on his own recognizance.
Ion Albert Nedici, 18, of 197 S. Pine St., McAdoo, will face trial in county court on charges of DUI (as a minor), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, purchasing alcohol by a minor, and driving without the required headlights. He waived his preliminary hearing on the charges, filed by McAdoo Patrolman Steven Homanko, following a July, 22, 2012, incident.
Nedici was released on his own recognizance.
Angela Bartholomew, 41, of 108 Snyder Ave., McAdoo, was bound over for court on charges of defiant trespass, harassment, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property. The charges were filed by Kline Township Police Chief John Petrilla following a Dec. 14, 2012 incident.
She was released on her own recognizance.
