A 12-year-old girl was airlifted via MedEvac to Lehigh Valley Children's Center in Allentown after being pinned under an off-road vehicle yesterday morning in the Nesquehoning section of Lake Hauto.

Police and ambulance were called to Lake Drive just after 10:30 a.m. for a report of a young girl pinned under a Rhino four seater 4X4 vehicle.

Nesquehoning police said that the girl became pinned after the vehicle flipped on top of her. They added that the girl was alone on her vehicle, but was riding with another 12-year-old girl.

Police also said that a Good Samaritan had lifted the vehicle off the girl prior to the arrival of emergency crews.

Responding in addition to Nesquehoning and Rush Township Police were ambulance crews from Lehighton and Nesquehoning.

The condition of the injured girl was unavailable as of press time. Officer Tim Wuttke is the investigating officer.
