A West Penn Township man, wanted on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation, was arrested by Tamaqua police on June 9.

Police responded to 503 N. Railroad St. at 3:47 a.m. for a reported domestic dispute. As they arrived a male was observed running from the area. The man refused officers' calls to stop and attempted to get in to a waiting vehicle.Patrolman Thomas Rodgers utilized his taser to stop the fleeing individual, who was then identified as Joseph Kulha, 21, of 22 Villas Crossing Rd. A records check indicated that Kulha was wanted on the probation warrant and he was transported to the Schuylkill County prison, Pottsville.
