Food pantry

The Palmerton Food Pantry will be open 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 21. The food pantry is located at St. John's Lutheran Church, Fireline Road, Palmerton.

Park Concert

King Henry & The Showmen will perform in the Palmerton Borough Park at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 23. In case of rain, the concert will be held in the borough hall, 443 Delaware Ave. Bring a lawn chair.

The Lehigh Valley Italian/American band will perform on June 30.

Holy Trinity Lutheran

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., has begun its summer worship service schedule. There will be a single service at 9 a.m. The regular worship service schedule will resume Sept. 15.

Blood bank

The Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile will visit Palmerton on Monday, June 24 at First United Church of Christ, from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

First UCC VBS

First UCC will hold Vacation Bible School July 22-26 from 6-8 p.m. The theme is "Dreams." Activities include Bible stories, crafts, games and music. Adults are needed to help with classes and activities. Call the church office at (610) 826-2696 for more information.

Miller-Keystone raffling iPads, Visa cards

Miller-Keystone Blood Center is raffling off two iPads for high school and college students each month from June to August. Any student who registers at a blood drive during this time is eligible.

Adults are eligible to win a $500 Visa gift card if they donate blood between June 15-July 15.

The next regularly scheduled community blood drive is scheduled on Monday, June 24 at the First UCC next to Palmerton Boro Hall from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Bring your Miller-Keystone card or a photo ID. Students should also bring a school or college ID.

They are seeing adult and student donors for the Trima machines to donate platelets and plasma.

Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in general good health. Parental permission is not required.
