Nine students from Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, were recently named Students of the Month for April for the 2012-2013 school year. They were selected because they exhibited the virtue of cooperation. The following are quotes from each student.

Kindergarten, Samuel Homyak: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I always try my best to make others feel welcomed.

Grade 1, Robert Ellis-Williams: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I have always helped in my town with the Lions Needs and Feed the People. I helped serve 2,500 meals last summer. In school I try to always do the right thing and help others.

Grade 2, Valerie Blasko: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I always try to listen to the teachers at school.

Grade 3, Emilia Tenisci: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I always follow directions and I never complain.

Grade 4, Tatianna Zeleniak: I am cooperative in class and do whatever the teacher tells me.

Grade 5, Isaac Faust: I show gratitude, behave, and I am nice to other people.

Grade 6, Adiah Balliet: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I tried to cooperate with everyone around me. I try to resolve matters in class so everyone gets along and enjoys school.

Grade 7, Andria Ahrens: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I try to follow directions.

Grade 8, William Cannon: I am helpful to the teachers at school and try to do my best work at all times.
