A Hazleton woman has been charged by McAdoo Police in connection with a traffic stop on April 27.

Patrolman William Curilla was on routine patrol at 2:45 a.m. that day when he observed a silver Volkswagen Jetta driving on South Kennedy Drive. The Jetta's taillights were not functioning and the officer initiated a traffic stop.The driver, identified as Stacy Samler of Hazleton appeared to be in an intoxicated condition and admitted to drinking two beers while at the home of a friend. She was given, and failed, several field sobriety tests.She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
