The Ryan Township Fire/Rescue Company held a truck parade Saturday in celebration of their new 2013 KME engine/rescue truck.
Approximately 70 trucks participated in the parade. Receiving trophies in various categories were:• 2,000 GPM and up: 1st - Tuscarora Fire Company; 2nd - Citizen's Fire Company of Mahanoy City; 3rd - McAdoo Fire Company.• 1,250 GPM: 1st - Defender Fire Company of Shenandoah; 2nd - East End Fire Company of Palo Alto.• 1,000 GPM or less: 1st - Good American Fire Company of Mahanoy City; 2nd - Citizen's Fire Company of Middleport.• Ladder Truck: Citizen's Fire Company of Mahanoy City.• Rescue Truck: West End Fire Company of Mahanoy City.• Tanker Truck: New England/Walker Township Fire Company.• Brush Truck: New England/Walker Township Fire Company.• Specialty Unit: Tuscarora Fire Company.• EMS Unit: McAdoo Ambulance.• Antique Unit: Citizen's Fire Company of Mahanoy City.• KME: Tuscarora Fire Company.• Hahn: Shartlesville Fire Company.• Special Judges Awards: 1st - Rescue Hook and Ladder of Shenandoah; 2nd - Slocum Township Fire Company.
