June 5, 2007 Meredith Dickson delivers an RBI single in the bottom of the 22nd inning to give Northwestern a PIAA Class AA playoff victory in the longest softball game ever at Patriots Park. Dickson's single to left allows Jess White to race home and give the Tigers a 3-2 win over Lakeland. Katelyn Boyd earns the pitching win, tossing all 22 innings. Boyd allows 18 hits, strikes out eight batters and throws 271 pitches. Dickson, White and Jackie Frisch each collect two hits in the game, whch lasts four hours and 15 minutes.
