A construction worker was injured by a hit and run driver. The incident occurred at a construction site at the on-ramp from SR309 to Interstate 81 in Kline Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said a tractor with trailer was traveling on the ramp about 8:25 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, in a construction zone where workers were repairing a bridge on the ramp.The truck struck a concrete barrier that moved backwards and struck David R. Clouse, 51, of Easton, in the head. Clouse was bent over preparing concrete for the bridge. The impact caused Clouse to be pushed backwards onto the concrete deck of the bridge.The rig driver did not stop and continued northbound on the interstate. Clouse sustained minor injuries.No vehicle description was obtained of the truck. Troopers ask anyone who might have witnessed the incident to call them at (570) 874-5300.
