Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions present scholarships

The Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions awarded scholarships to two students during a meeting at the Bowmanstown Fire Company.

Alexandria Quinn, daughter of Steven and Nancy Quinn, is a Palmerton graduate. She was a member of Student Council, treasurer of the National Honor Society. treasurer of the Leo (youth Lions) Club, treasurer of the Yearbook, Environmental Club and student forum.She took all honors classes and plans to attend Moravian College to study nursing.Kelly Higgens is the daughter of Evelyn Higgens.Higgens' activities include four years of marketing, four years of Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), four years of SkillsUSA and two years membership in the National Technical Honor Society. She was on the yearbook staff for one year.She attended Carbon Career and Technical Institute.Each received a $300 scholarship and a plaque.
