The 12th Annual Coach K Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, July 13, at the Mountain Valley Golf Course, Barnesville. The event is held annually in memory of Cazzie Kosciolek, a longtime Panther Valley School District teacher and football coach at several area high schools who passed away in March, 2001, following a bout with cancer. Proceeds of the event go towards the Carbon-Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society and are also utilized for scholarships in memory of Kosciolek. Winning the tourney was the foursome comprised of Jeff Newman, second from left, Anthony Bekesy, third from left, Dean Dibonifazio, center, and Michael Luckenbill, third from right. With them are Kosciolek's widow, Diane, far left, and his sons, Greg, second from right, and Matt, far right.
