An Allentown woman spent the Fourth of July holiday in jail following a vehicle stop in Rush Township on July 3.

Angela Ramirez, 24, was stopped on Tamaqua Street at 5:20 p.m. Officers discovers a hypodermic syringe and a spoon inside the vehicle. They also learned Ramirez was wanted on a bench warrant issued in Luzerne County.She faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was committed to the Schuylkill County prison, Pottsville, on the warrant.
