Mr. and Mrs. John J. Unitis Jr. of Coaldale recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on May 25, 1963 at St. Michael's Church, Lansford by the bride's late uncle, the Rev. Michael G. Sirak.

Margaret is the daughter of the late John and Mary Porvaznik of Lansford.Her husband is the son of the late John J. Sr. and Margaret Unitis of Coaldale.The couple has two sons, John J. III of Coaldale and Robert D., husband of Michaele of Atglen. They also have twin grandchildren, Jude and Hannah.They celebrated their golden anniversary with a family dinner at the Viennese Villa in Coaldale.
