Lansford police have apprehended a man wanted on warrants from Schuylkill and Lehigh counties.

John Antonio Gomez, also known as "G," 27, of 323 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, was nabbed at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday during a traffic stop in the 300 block of East Bertsch Street.

Police had received information about the warrants. One was an active probation warrant out of Lehigh County for conspiracy to commit homicide, and the other was a bench warrant for failure to appear on possession of marijuana charges in Schuylkill County.

Gomez was found to be in the passenger seat of the vehicle. After his identity was confirmed, Gomes was arrested without incident and transported to Carbon County Correctional facility, Nesquehoning. From there, he'll be transferred to Lehigh County.
