Carbon man facing indecent assault

A Carbon County man was jailed this week and charged with indecent assault and other counts involving a nine-year-old girl as the victim.

Kidder Township Police Chief Matthew Kuzma and Cpl. Neil Yurchak arrested William Nitschman, 61, of Albrightsville.He was charged with felony counts of indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children, and corruption of minors; and three misdemeanor counts of indecent assault.Police said the incident occurred in Albrightsville.He was arraigned by on-call District Judge William Kissner of Palmerton and committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning after failing to post $100,000 cash bail.
