Towamensing/Palmerton stayed alive in the District 18 11-12 Little League tournament while the Franklin Township Shockers clinched the regular season title in the Keystone Senior Babe Ruth League.

Towamensing/Palmerton hit five home runs on Saturday to roll to an 18-3 win over Tri-County and stay alive in the District 18 11-12 Little League tournament.
Brody Boehler, Devyn Rehrig, Owen Reis, Tanner Burnett and Eric Nothstein all went deep for the winners, who finished the contest with 18 hits.
Burnett and Ben Serfass combined on the pitching duties, and the duo allowed just the three runs over four innings of work.

JT Blue-Tamaqua Blue
Jared Marykwas hit a grand slam and knocked in six runs to help lead Jim Thorpe Blue to a decisive 11-3 win over Tamaqua Blue.
The victory sends JT Blue into the South Division championship round, where they will face the winner of Tamaqua Blue-Franklin Township. The South Division champ will then meet the North Division champ in a best-of-three series.
Jared Joyce added two hits, one a double, while Caiden Hurley tossed 5 innings to gain the pitching win.
For Tamaqua, B. Milot had a double and a triple.
KEYSTONE SENIOR BR
The Franklin Township Shockers rode a strong pitching performance from Thatcher David to an 8-0 win Sunday over the Hazleton Mountaineers.
The victory, coupled with a loss by the East Stroudsburg Mustangs, clinched the regular season championship for the Shockers (14-1-1). The title also gives FT a bye in the opening round of the upcoming playoffs.
David tossed six innings of three-hit shutout baseball. He allowed two hits and struck out five batters. Nick Hill hurled a scoreless seventh frame for the Shockers.
Parker David had two hits and scored a pair of runs for the winners while Brady Niehoff added a hit and knocked in two runs. James Farano and Anthony Farole each walked twice and scored a pair of runs.

Derek Rottet pitched a two-hitter but was outdueld by Pine Grove's Jared McCabe and the Blue Sox ended up dropping a 1-0 decision.
McCabe also finished with a two-hitter but received the only run he needed in the fourth inning on a Tamaqua error.
Matt Roberts had a double for the Blue Sox (1-12).
