A Lehigh County motor inn was the victim of an attempted robbery on Wednesday afternoon by two males who are currently being sought by police.

The incident occurred at the Lehigh Motor Inn, located at 5828 Memorial Road, in Upper Macungie Township.

Township police were dispatched to the inn about 5:37 p.m. for a report of a male with a gun. Upon arrival officers were told by staff that two males entered the office area with one displaying a black handgun.

The two were then startled and fled on foot in an unknown direction. Township police, with the assistance of South Whitehall Township police, checked the area for the two males but they were not found.

The first male is described as being white, dressed in all black clothing with a hood pulled over his head. He is about five-feet, eight to 10 inches tall. The second male, who had the gun, was described as unknown race, about six feet tall, wearing all black clothing with a hood over his head and a mask covering his face.
