A Tamaqua driver was involved in a two vehicle crash in Lehigh County and cited. State police at Fogelsville said the crash occurred about 6:02 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the intersection of Kings Highway and Gun Club Road, in Lynn Township.

Troopers said Dilian J. Zehner, 21, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta southbound Gun Club Road while Frank L. Rauscher, 45, of New Tripoli, was driving a 1999 Ford Explorer eastbound on Kings Highway.

Troopers said Zehner failed to stop for a posted stop sign at the intersection and struck Rauscher's Ford as it traveled through the intersection. The VW hit the rear passenger side of the Ford.

No one was injured but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Troopers cited Zehner for a stop sign violation.
