The engagement of Kira Michalik of Summit Hill to Kevin Steber, also of Summit Hill, has been announced by her father and mother.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robert Michalik of Summit Hill and Karen and Eugene Eckhart of Lehighton.She is a 1997 graduate of Panther Valley High School and a 1999 graduate of Churchman Business School. She is employed by the Borough of Lehighton as treasurer.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Jane and Manuel Lanzos of Summit Hill. He is a 1995 graduate of Panther Valley High School. He is employed by KME Fire Apparatus as a sales engineer in the pumper/tanker group.The couple plan to marry on Oct. 26 of this year.
