The Lehighton boys and girls dropped decisions to East Stroudsburg South, while the Pleasant Valley and Jim Thorpe girls were both tagged with losses in Friday action.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Lehighton-ES South

Kingsley Amoa Kobene scored all four points for East Stroudsburg South in overtime to give the Cavaliers a 51-49 Mountain Valley Conference win over Lehighton (5-5, 2-2).

Trailing 37-29 after three quarters, Kobene scored nine of his game-high 15 points in the fourth quarter to lead ES South (4-4, 2-1) back to force overtime.

O'Neal Holder also hit double figures for the Cavs with 10 points. The Indians' Jacen Nalesnik had 11 points and Tyler Crum added 10.

ES South made it a sweep with a 48-33 win in the JV game.

Cy Lippold had a game-high 18 points for the Cavaliers (6-3, 1-2), while Kaitlyn Poje had 12 and Brittany Poje 10. Kasandra Barclay's nine points led the Indians (2-8, 1-3).

Pleasant Valley fell behind by 13 points after one quarter and never recovered as Pocono Mountain West marched to a 53-35 Mountain Valley Conference win to stay unbeaten in league play.

The Panthers had four players finish in double figures as Jackie Benitez had 15, Ramone Benitez 13, Naomi Jiminez 12 and Stephanie Davis 10.

The Bears' Mackenzie Dorney hit double figures for her team with 14.
