Stephanie J. Beavers, professional editor, will present, "The Editor is Your Friend, a.k.a. Don't Forget the Editor!" at the March meeting of the Black Diamond Writers Network.

Beavers will take a detailed look at the importance of editing, cover the different types of editing, and present examples of some of the most common mistakes writers make. She will also discuss the value of a good editor to the writer.

As owner of "Stephanie J. Beavers ... Refining Your Written Image," Beavers provides writing, editing, proofreading services and more to businesses, students and individuals. She specializes in supporting non-native English speakers, having proofread and edited such works as academic journal reviews and business marketing collateral. In addition, she is fluent in Spanish, and is experienced at translating and teaching English as a Second Language.
