This year Catholic schools across the United States celebrated Catholic Schools Week with the theme of "Catholic Schools Raise the Standards."

In order to show off the academic excellence at their school, students and teachers of the Little Angels Pre-School and Our Lady of the Angels Academy created a video featuring "Flat Sister Regina."The idea is based on "Flat Stanley."In OLOAA's video, "Flat Sister Regina," an image of the school's principal, Sister Regina Elinich, IHM, travels throughout the school and visits each classroom to see what the students are learning."We loved showing Flat Sister Regina what we were learning, stated Riley McArdle, first grader at OLOAA."We also loved being able to see what the other kids in our school are learning, too. It's really neat to see our school in the video!" added first grade student Elsie Heckman.Jane Dowling's fourth grade class taught Flat Sister Regina about the five regions of the United States.Each student brought in props and costume pieces to dress up and teach about a different state, covering the five regions."It was a lot of fun to be the teachers and show others what we are learning," said Julia Jurick, who taught the class about California.To view the video, visit the Our Lady of the Angels Academy website:
