Over 560 spectators, many dressed in 80's attire, showed up over the weekend during the 80's V-Day Ball held at the Lakeside Ballroom in Barnesville. The show and dance featured performances by popular 80's tribute band Rubix Kube. During the ball, both lovers and haters slow danced to the best heart-warming ballads and head-banged to the best heart-breaking tunes of The Eighties.

The '80s Guru" DJ Ann Marie Calabrese of Magic 105.5 served as the event's hostess. Proceeds, raffles and donations of the event benefited the Tamaqua-Carbon American Cancer Society."And we're taking this one to the 'heart' and giving back to the community there that supports us so awesomely," said Calabrese.
