Liquor board cites Carbon licensees

The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board cited three Carbon County liquor licensees.

Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club of Mahoning Township Inc., located at 676 Stewart Creek Rd., Lehighton, Mahoning Township, was cited for refilling liquor bottles. The alleged violation occurred on Jan. 4.Miner's Pub Inc., located at 533 E. Patterson St., Lansford, was cited for permitting a rock group to vocalize and permitted dancing to a disc jockey without an amusement permit. The alleged violations occurred on Oct. 27 and Nov. 21, 2012.Mercury Hospitality, located along SR940, Box 809, Lake Harmony, Kidder Township, was cited for during the period of June 21 through Dec. 19, 2012, failed to appoint a board approved full time manager for the licensed premises. Also, cited for on Dec. 19, 2012, failed to keep records on the licensed premises.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
