A Carbon County teen is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of a controlled substance.

State police at Lehighton said Matthew Joseph McFarland, 19, of Palmerton, appeared at the barracks in Towamensing Twonship, about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, under the influence. He was placed under arrest.
