Police from three municipalities worked together to apprehend two people, a man and woman, who drove away after allegedly stealing a large television and other merchandise from the Hometown Wal-Mart around 1 a.m. today.

Despite trying to elude police, both thieves, traveling in a GMC pickup truck, were taken into custody after turning onto Plant Road, a dead-end road, from SR309 north in Kline Township.

Police officers responding were Rush Township officer Adam Sinton, Kline Township officer Scott Cramer and McAdoo officer William Curilla. Officers noted that someone had boarded up the truck's side windows and back hatch. In addition, officers added that there was a paper-like product covering parts of the truck's license plate. The male driver will also be charged with driving under a suspended license. No more information was available as of press time.
