United States Senator Pat Toomey just announced that he is sponsoring an amendment to the Constitution for term limits. This would limit Congressmen to three terms and Senators to two terms.
I am glad to see that someone in Washington finally gets it. Senator Toomey said he believes that we cannot have career politicians, and he is exactly right. I hope that other politicians follow his lead, not just in Washington but in Harrisburg, too.
I remember that Sen. Toomey campaigned on term limits when he first ran for the U.S. House, and he kept his promise by serving only three terms. It's good to see that joining the U.S. Senate hasn't changed him like it has other people. Keep up the good work Senator Toomey.
