State police at the Frackville barracks said John D. Bobbit, 27, of Shenandoah, was cited for summary violations after a car he was driving crashed at 5 p.m. Dec. 20 on the Ringtown Boulevard in Union Township.

Police said he was driving a 1999 Subaru Legacy southbound when he failed to maintain his lane of travel and the vehicle went off the east berm of the roadway and hit an embankment with its front passenger side. The vehicle traveled about 100 feet with its passenger side tires on the embankment, traveling through a drainage culvert before coming to rest on the east berm of the roadway.Police said the vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene. Bobbit wasn't hurt.
