Blue Mountain Health System, in collaboration with Eastcentral Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center and the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, will offer a free workshop from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Bowmanstown Medical Plaza, 204 Bank St., Bowmanstown.

The workshop will involve discussions about metastatic melanoma and advanced basal cell carcinoma, as well as treatment options, clinical trials and key considerations.Survivors and families will learn ways to proactively work with their health care team to manage common side effects, how to improve and maintain their quality of life during and after treatment, and practical tips to help cope. Featured speakers for this workshop include Dr. Michael Martinez of Blue Mountain Health System and Jen Sinclair from the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley.A light dinner will be provided. A general certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees. Some national, state, and local licensing boards and professional organizations will grant continuing education credits for attendance when you submit the course outline (brochure and agenda) and your certificate of attendance.
