An electronic recycling event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at the Bowmanstown Borough garage, 411 Spring St., Bowmanstown.

The program is being coordinated by Bowmanstown Borough and the Carbon Builders Association.Most electronics can be dropped off at no charge at the site location.The event is sponsored by Advanced Green Solutions Inc., 40 Third St., Walnutport.Items accepted are plastic and metal scrap, floor copiers, washers and dryers, dishwashers, stoves and refrigerators, air conditioners, floor freezers, CRT monitors, misc. electronics, hard drives, telephones, cell phones, dehumidifiers, keyboards and mice, non PVB ballast, cables and cords, stereos and speakers, LCD monitors, word processors, printers and fax machines, desktop/laptop computers, DVD players, VCRs and game systems.Televisions and console/ projection televisions will be charged a small fee and any appliances with freon will also pay a minimal fee.
