A Tamaqua man was one of 30 defendants who entered guilty pleas in Schuylkill County court to criminal charges and were sentenced by Judge James P. Goodman.

Joseph Brian Franz, 25, of 190 Lincoln St., on forgery and theft charges was placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) to serve 24 months on restrictive probation. He must serve a long term in a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility, followed by serving house arrest by electronic monitoring for the balance of his probation and pay a $12 daily fee, fined $1,500, pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA), perform 120 hours community service, and make restitution of $300 to Kenneth Franz, $500, to Liza Franz, $125, to Cash and Trading Store, and $125 to Eds Sports Shop. He was cited by Tamaqua police.

Joseph John McBride III, Pottsville, four counts of rape by threat and two counts of incest with a minor, was sentenced to serve 20 to 40 years in a state correctional facility with credit for serving 140 days in the county prison and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Jordan W. Nieves, 22, of 22 Bridge St., McAdoo, driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison with the sentence to begin Friday, May 10, at 9:30 a.m., fined $1,000, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, attend alcohol highway safety school, receive outpatient counseling, perform 10 hours of community service, and driver's license was suspended 12 months. On a summary charge of failing to drive at a safe speed was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Nieves was cited by McAdoo Patrolman Steven Homanko.

Jamie Paul Robbins, 33, Schuylkill Haven, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct was given credit for serving 38 days in the county prison and was granted immediate release. He was also fined $100 and pay $100 to CJEA fund. He was cited by Schuylkill Haven police,

Phillip James Gibble, 43, Harrisburg, formerly of Girardville, criminal mischief to a tattoo parlor in Pottsville, was fined $300, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $399.09 to Paul Palatino. He was cited by Patrolman Joseph J. Krammes.

Joelle Elissa Boris, 21, Minersville, criminal attempt - delivery of a controlled substance (CS), sentenced to serve six to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving four days. His sentence is to begin Monday, April 29, at 9:30 a.m.

On a charge of criminal use of a cell phone he received a concurrent sentence of three to 12 months and on a charge of possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia to serve 12 months probation with both sentences to run concurrent.

Boris also must pay $100 to SAE fund, and $50 to CJEA fund. He is also eligible to participate in the work release program. Boris was cited by Minersville Patrolman Jeffrey R. Bowers.

Michael Shane Bruce, 34, Pottsville, possession of a CS, placed on probation 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours of community service, and make restitution of $113 to the Bethlehem Regional Lab. On a charge of public drunkenness was fined $100. Bruce was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Eugene M. Yourey.

Peter Gerald Donnelly, 22, Pottsville, delivery of counterfeit CS, possession with intent to deliver, and criminal use of communication facility, sentence is deferred to Wednesday, June 19, and a pre-sentence investigative report was asked by the court to be prepared by the adult probation department. Alexander James Faust, 19, Pottsville, false alarm to agencies by threatening to burn down building, sentenced to serve five days to 18 months in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA fund, $50 to district attorney's office, and perform 20 hours of community service. Heather Ann Frank, 27, Holiday, Fla., retail theft, sentenced to serve two days to 23 months in the county prison and since she had served the two days was immediately placed on parole for the balance of her sentence and ordered to pay $50 to the CJEA fund, and make restitution of $70.90 to Walmart Store in Saint Clair, for theft of jewelry and a watch.

Denise Halcovage, 39, Seltzer , Norwegian Township, DUI of alcohol, sentenced to serve 48 hours to six months in the county prison with the sentence to start on Sunday, May 12, at 10 a.m., fined $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center (SMC)-South, perform 10 hours community service, attend alcohol highway safety school, and driver's license suspended 12 months. Tammy Lee Heffner, 55, Valley View Village, Hegins Township, passing a bad check, sentenced to serve one week to 23 months in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service. Heffner was cited by Trooper Caleb J. Huber.

Fernando Hernandez, 24, Shenandoah, harassment of patron in Mexican Bar, Shenandoah, fined $50, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and costs. He was cited by Patrolman Michael O'Neill.

Zachary Jay Hickey, 21, Pottsville, possession of drug paraphernalia, placed on probation 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, and $50 to CJEA fund. On a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was given a 30 day probation sentence to run concurrent. Hickey was cited by Patrolman Bryan Pyle, Branch and Reiley Townships police.

Kay Ann Jobrey, 48, Saint Clair, theft by deception, placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $157.94 to Walmart Store in Saint Clair for taking a coffee maker.

Meri Jean Keim, Muir, Porter Township, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle owned by her father, placed on probation 12 months, and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Keim was cited by Trooper David Beam.

Randy J. Kramer, 36, Pottsville, theft of currency, placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $3,000 to Amber Blickley, Girardville. Kramer was cited by Girardville Patrolman John Borchick.

Daniel Bo Krammes, 24, Zerbe, Reilly Township, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, placed on probation 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, and $50 to CJEA fund. Krammes was cited by Pine Grove Cpl. Christopher Cruz.

Robert Thomas Malia, 44, Coal Township, simple assault on clerk in Dollar Store, Pottsville, sentenced to serve 27 days to 23 months in the county prison and since he served the minimum sentence was released on parole.

On a charge of flight to avoid arrest he must serve an additional 23 months probation. On a charge of overtaking a vehicle on the left side of the roadway was fined $25 plus $50 costs. He also must pay $50 to CJEA fund. Malia was cited by Patrolman Richard J. Pugh.

Hope Ann McManus, 25, Shenandoah, retail theft from Walmart Store in Saint Clair, sentence deferred to Wednesday, June 19.

William G. Navitsky Jr., 21, Shenandoah, possession of a CS, placed on probation 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours of community service.

On a charge of criminal mischief he was fined $25 plus costs and make restitution of $634.42 to Alyssa Heintzelman, Mahanoy City, for damage caused when he broke into her vehicle parked on Ferguson Street in Shenandoah. Navitsky was cited by Patrolman Robert Senape.

William J. Smith, 31, Ashland, possession of a CS and drug paraphernalia, placed on probation 23 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, and $50 to CJEA fund. Smith was cited by Ranger Chad Woleslagle, at the Campsite in Locust Lake Park, Ryan Township.

Justin Allen Snyder, 23, Pottsville, two counts of corruption of minors, placed on probation 23 months, and pay $50 to CJEA fund. He was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Brian J. Reno.

Robin Walter Trezise, 61, Minersville, two counts of simple assault, received credit for serving three days in the county prison and was placed on parole for 18 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, make restitution of $762.73 to Anthony Smith, and $146.08 to victims fund. Vincent Michael Weiss, 29, Auburn, possession of a CS, was given credit for serving 70 days in the county prison and was released on parole for 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $176 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Matthew Kyle Hoy, 19, Pottsville, two counts each of indecent assault and corruption of minors, sentenced to serve three to seven years in a state correctional facility, pay $200 to CJEA fund, and have no contact with the victims. He was cited by Pottsville police.

Each defendant must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
