A Tamaqua woman has been cited after a check she wrote for a coal delivery came back marked as insufficient funds.

Courtney Nicole Bowman, 29, of 314 Hazle St., allegedly ordered coal from Rarick's Coal and Oil, which was delivered on Dec. 28, 2012. She paid for the delivery with a check from a Woodforest National Bank account.

On Dec. 31 Rarick was notified the check had bounced. Efforts to resolve the issue, including certified letters, failed.

Charges of issuing a bad check were filed by Cpl. Henry Woods.
