* April 27, 10 a.m. - Divine liturgy commemorating the raising of Lazarus from the deadApril 27, 4 p.m. - Great vespers with Litia for Palm Sunday* April 28, 10 a.m. - Devine liturgy commemorating our Lord's entry into Jerusalem with the blessing of willows and festal anointing* April 29, 6 p.m. - Liturgy of the presanctified gifts* April 30, 6 p.m. - Liturgy of the presanctified gifts* May 1, 6:30 p.m. - Sacrament of Holy Unction for the healing of soul and body* May 2, 10 a.m. - Vespers with Divine Liturgy of St. Basil commemorating our Lord's Last Supper* May 2, 6:30 p.m. - Reading of the 12 Passion Gospels* May 3, 9 a.m. - Royal Hours of Good Friday* May 3, 3 p.m. - Vespers for Great and Holy Friday* May 3, 9:30 p.m. - Canon of Lamentations sung at the tomb* May 4, 9 a.m. - Vespers with Divine Liturgy of St. Basil commemorating our Lord's descent into Hades and his rest in the tomb* May 4, 8:30 p.m. - Procession around the church and Matins of the Glorious Resurrection, followed by blessing of the paschal foods* May 5, 10 a.m. - Divine Liturgy of the Glorious and Life Giving Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, with festal anointing, followed by blessing of the paschal foodsSt. John the Baptist is located at 9 West Railroad St. in Nesquehoning and is led by the Rev.
