Palmerton High School graduate Christian Marcin is enjoying an outstanding season for the Penn State Berks baseball team.

Heading into the final week of the regular season, Marcin is among the team leaders in just about every offensive category.

Marcin has started 30 of PSU Berks' 31 games. He is batting .327, has scored 26 runs, knocked in 14, and has a.486 slugging percentage.

Marcin leads the Lions in atbats (107) and triples (5) and is second on the team in runs (26), total bases (52) and stolen bases (9). He is among the top five on the team in batting average, on base percentage, doubles, home runs, RBIs and walks.

Marcin has also played a near flawless outfield. The sophomore has committed just one error in 78 total chances for a team-leading .988 fielding percentage.

PSU Berks has a 10-21 overall record and a 6-6 mark in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC).
