A Monroe County teen is facing a charge of simple assault following an incident that occurred about 8:25 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, along Kathleen Drive, in Jackson Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said a 17-year-old male allegedly struck Victor E. Marmo, 64, of Reeders, in the ribs causing injures. Marmo was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment, troopers added.The teen is facing the assault count and also harassment, troopers said.
