On Monday, April 22, students and staff of Pleasant Valley School District will present the annual Pleasant Valley School District Academic Fair from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Pleasant Valley High School.
The Academic Fair will highlight the creativity and talents of students and staff through their work within the K-12 curriculum. Students will present and demonstrate projects in a "fair-like" setting.
This program will provide information to parents and community members regarding the rigorous K-12 programs and curriculum opportunities available to students.
The format for the evening is an "open door" ongoing presentation of events and activities. Projects will be displayed in the gymnasiums, hallways and classrooms. Students will be performing in various groups (e.g., band, chorus, etc.), providing continuous entertainment during the evening in the auditorium.
A schedule of the groups who will be performing will be listed in the program provided for the evening.
They will also be collecting computer systems and peripherals for recycling as a service to the community.
The Academic Fair provides an opportunity to learn about the school district. The program is relevant for everyone who lives in the community, especially parents, since it will provide a wealth of information regarding opportunities for students.
Pleasant Valley Superintendent Dr. Douglas C. Arnold is urging all school district residents to attend this event to learn more about the school district that they support.
"Many outstanding things are happening in our school district every day," Arnold said, "and this is a great way for residents to see firsthand that our school district is working hard in its efforts to enact our mission statement, which is 'Excellence in Education A Community Commitment.'"
