Pocono Mountain Regional police observed a vehicle with a taillight out while on patrol on Long Pond Road on Sunday, April 7 at 7:14 p.m.

Police made a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Jill S. Perez, 48, Effort. While speaking with Perez, an odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. Perez attempted to conceal the marijuana, which was recovered from her purse. Consent to search the vehicle was obtained and police recovered additional drug paraphernalia.Charges are to be filed against Perez and a juvenile who was a passenger in the vehicle.
