Keystone Press Awards of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association were won by writers from the group of eight weekly newspapers of Lehigh Valley PRESS, a division of TIMES NEWS, LLC, a Pencor Services, Inc., company.

Competing among writers and photographers of non-daily newspapers under 5,000 circulation, the following earned honors:Whitehall-Coplay Press - Johanna S. Billings won first place in two categories, in investigative reporting and ongoing news coverage; and second place in special projects and headline writing.Bethlehem Press - Paul Willistein earned first in feature beat reporting, second in general news, and honorable mention in special project and headline writing. Linda Anthony won first in photo story; Brandon Taylor, received second in feature beat reporting and photo story; Bernie O'Hare, grabbed second in ongoing news; Bud Cole took second in sports/outdoor column; and Dana Grubb, second in column writing. Honorable mentions were awarded to Karen Samuels, column writing; Tim Gilman, feature story; and Ed Courier, graphic/photo illustration.Salisbury Press - Debbie Galbraith copped first place in editorial writing.Catasauqua Press - Linda Wojciechowski won second in news beat reporting and honorable mention with co-writer Paul Cmil in general news reporting.The awards will be presented May 18 during the Pennsylvania Press Conference at the Harrisbug Hilton.In addition, Johanna Billings and the Parkland Press's Bonnie Lee Strunk combined for 27 awards in competition sponsored by the Pennsylvania Press Club, an affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women. Multiple story entry requirements comprise most of the categories.Billings won 5 firsts, 11 second place finishes, 3 thirds and an honorable mention. Strunk won 2 firsts, 2 seconds and 3 thirds. The results were announced March 17 and the awards will be presented during a luncheon program later this year.
