A Carbon County tavern has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Rivercreek, LLC, 219-221 N. First St., Lehighton, was cited for used, or permitted to be used on the inside of their licensed premises, a loudspeaker or similar device whereby the sound of music or other entertainment, or the advertisement thereof, could be heard beyond the licensee's property line. The allged violation occurred on Feb. 15 and 16.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious one. In addition the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
