Two Jim Thorpe juveniles have been charged in connection with a burglary at a borough business.

Borough police said on Thursday, Sept. 6, about 2:18 a.m. they responded to Bob's Market, located at 15 W. Sixth St,. for a burglar alarm. On scene police discovered forced entry was made to the building through a side window.

Through a further investigation police were able to identify two male juveniles, both age 16, from the surveillance video. Police made contact with the two, and their parents/guardians. Both admitted to breaking into the business and stealing several rolls of quarters and cigarettes.

Police filed juvenile referrals against both with the county juvenile probation office charging them with burglary, criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property. The burglary counts are felony twos and the theft and receiving misdemeanor twos.
