The Cranberry Quilt Guild will participate in the Historic Brainerd Church Festival next month, with a display of quilts, including table runners, toppers, wall hangings, lap quilts and bed quilts in all different sizes.

The quilts will be exhibited in the one-room schoolhouse, Cedar Grove School, which is situated on the property behind the historic church, on North Main Street in Sybertsville, which is located within the Greater Hazleton area.The only original, unaltered one-room schoolhouse in Luzerne County, Cedar Grove School was constructed in 1893. It provides a perfect backdrop for the long history of quilts and the art of quilting.The Historic Brainerd Church Festival is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.The annual festival helps to raise funds to restore and maintain the church and the one-room schoolhouse.
