Kerri Marcin, daughter of Susan and George Marcin of Lehighton, and Lee Hopkins, son of Lee Hopkins and the late Jeanette Hopkins of New Egypt, N.J. were united in marriage on May 5, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church in Palmerton.
The Rev. Joseph Farrell of New Egypt officiated the double ring ceremony. Sarah Landro performed on the harp during the service.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Tara Marcin of Palmerton, to serve as her maid of honor.
Bridesmaids included Crystal O'Mara, Holly Springs, N.C., sister of the bridegroom; Nicole Hopkins, Watsonville, Calif., sister of the bridegroom; Karissa Holland, Lehighton, cousin of the bride; Kelly Prall, Lansdale, Pa.; Laura Buck, Denver, Colo.; Julie Hartman, Nazareth, Pa.; Brianna Rider, Delta, Pa.; and Alisha Rightnour, McLean, Va.
Sophie Springer was the flower girl.
Jon Brownell of Hamilton, N.J. performed the duties of best man.
Ushers were Andy Brownell, New Egypt; Bill O'Mara, Holly Springs, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Christian Marcin, Lehighton, brother of the bride; Chris Springer, Douglassville, Pa.; Brian Staerk, West Chester, Pa.; and Brent Steinmetz, Rockville, Md.
Ring bearers were Mason and Cash O'Mara, nephews of the bridegroom.
Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed family and friends to a reception at the Woodstone Country Club in Danielsville, before leaving on a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia.
The new Mrs. Hopkins is a 2003 graduate of Palmerton Area High School, and a 2007 graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in education.
She is employed in the Quality Assurance and Compliance Department at Wells Fargo Corporate Center in Raleigh, N.C.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sauers of Lehighton and Eleanor Marcin of Lansford.
Mr. Hopkins is a 2005 graduate of New Egypt High School. In 2009 he earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from West Chester University, where he also played football.
He is employed as an admissions counselor at Miller-Mott College in Cary, N.C.
He is the grandson of Audrey Cheke of New Egypt.
The newlyweds currently reside in Holly Springs, N.C.
