Local author appears at Dimmick Friends event on Saturday

On Saturday, Sept. 15 from 1-4 p.m., local author Michelle Gallagher will be doing a meet and greet at the Dimmick Friends Book Sale at 58 Broadway, Jim Thorpe. Gallagher will be talking about and signing copies of her recent book "Witch Wolf? The Curse," the story of a young teenage girl who is harassed because of her looks. She finds she is turning into a werewolf, due to a past curse put on her father.

Michelle uses some of her own memories of being bullied when she was a young teenager due to her then unattractive appearance. The public is welcome to attend and meet this interesting new author.

For more information, call the library at (570) 325-2131.

Gallagher's visit is sponsored by the Friends of the Dimmick Memorial Library, whose used book sale takes place every Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. in the Dimmick Library Friends House, 58 Broadway in Jim Thorpe.
